Dogtra IQ - Yard Training Collar is one of the newer products to be found on amazon. released by Dogtra it is getting great reviews all around. the price point is well under $200 - pretty good for a high quality training collar in today's marketplace in mu opinion.
Any dog owner will love this system! It is good for larger dogs but is also rated for dogs as small as 10 pounds - not often seen in training collars. It's small size should not fool you - it has plenty of power "under the hood"! It is also lightweight thanks to the great design that the Dogtra crew came up with.

The IQ yard Collar is not only lightweight but 100 percent waterproof for training in the rain or any situation where water can become an issue. The batteries come to full charge rather quickly - in about 2 hours- a nice feature in my book and one not to be overlooked. The collar features three levels of training stimulation. The are - nick, constant and a non stimulation setting. This allows you to easily customize the collar to suit your dogs individual training needs. The levels can be adjusted from level 1 up to level 100 with precise adjustments.
The compact design makes it ideal for any size dog - it also has a nice look to it - not really important but nice never the less. There is no external antenna that could possibly irritate an animal - not a common problem with training collars in general but might be an issue for some dogs (like mine I would imagine!). With a 400 yard range the IQ Yard Collar should have plenty of range for the biggest back yard as well as the dog park. The batteries are easily replaceable - also a nice feature as some collars require you to be an engineer to get at the batteries!
This collar is getting great reviews - fast approaching the 100 mark! With an amazon rating of 4.5 stars. I read almost all of them (as i always try and do).
All in all I love this collar - especially for the price point and the fact that it comes from the folks at Dogtra. If you have read any of my other reviews you know I am big fan of all the Dogtra products. I really don't think you can wrong with the Dogtra IQ - Yard Training Collar!
